Go to the registration page and enter your pharmacy details. After verification, you will gain access to the platform.
Who can sign up for PharmaSwap?
Only pharmacists and wholesalers can register to help reduce medication waste.
Is PharmaSwap safe to use?
Yes, PharmaSwap is a closed platform. Only verified pharmacists and wholesalers have access.
Are there any costs associated with using PharmaSwap?
PharmaSwap charges a 10% transaction fee per sale, with a minimum of €35. Pro users benefit from a maximum fee of €250, fast payouts within 14 days, and bundled shipping costs. Subscription fees apply for Pro users.
Can individuals also submit medications?
No, individuals cannot submit medications on PharmaSwap.
Does PharmaSwap work with a subscription form?
Yes, as a user you can choose between a basic or pro version. As a pro user you benefit from all the benefits within our platform.
What are the benefits of PharmaSwap pro?
Lower Transaction Fees: Both Basic and Pro users pay 10% per transaction, with a minimum of €35. However, Pro users benefit from a capped transaction fee of €250, regardless of the transaction size.
Guaranteed Payout Within 14 Days: Basic users will only be paid out once we have received the payment ourselves.
Automatic Integration with Insurers: We can automatically establish connections with insurers (a.s.r., VGZ, CZ and Zilveren Kruis), allowing you to benefit from additional sustainable reimbursements.
Order Bundling: Orders can be bundled, so shipping costs are charged only once.
Guaranteed Payout Within 14 Days: Basic users will only be paid out once we have received the payment ourselves.

How do I cancel my subscription to PharmaSwap?
Canceling your subscription with PharmaSwap is easy. Send an email with your cancellation request to support@pharmaswap.com. Please include your name, contact details and, if applicable, your customer number in the email, so that we can process your request. You will receive a confirmation once the cancellation has been completed.
Selling
How do I set the price for my item on PharmaSwap?
You set the price yourself. We show the last known AIP price as a reference.
Who uses PharmaSwap?
Pharmacists and wholesalers who want to prevent medication waste.
What items can I sell on PharmaSwap?
On PharmaSwap, you can sell prescription medications that are nearing their expiration date and have been properly stored in the pharmacy. Medications that fall under the Opium Act are not allowed to be sold via PharmaSwap.
Can I sell medications to other pharmacists?
Yes, through PharmaSwap, this is allowed for pharmacists. It has been agreed with the IGJ that the person in possession of the medication is responsible for its dispensation, which mainly involves medication monitoring. The selling pharmacy conducts this monitoring based on the prescription they receive from the buying pharmacy. This can be processed, for example, as a substitute prescription.
The selling pharmacy does not make any declarations. In practice, we leave it to both parties to exchange a prescription, but we do provide all the necessary documents for this. The ultimate responsibility lies with the users.
What if a medication is already deregistered in the FMD?
You can indicate this when adding a medication. The buyer will not need to deregister the product again.
What happens after I sell a medication?
The buyer informs the patient about the process and declares the medication as usual with the health insurer.
Do I, as the seller, declare the medication to the health insurer?
No, the buyer declares the medication to the health insurer.
Can wholesalers also sell on PharmaSwap?
Yes, wholesalers can offer their stock to prevent waste.
How do I know if a buyer is reliable?
All buyers are verified pharmacies or wholesalers who meet professional standards.
Can I reverse a sale?
No, once a transaction is completed, it cannot be undone. Contact customer service for exceptions.
What if a package is broken or torn?
Contact the seller or customer service to discuss the issue.
How do I receive notifications for new items on PharmaSwap?
Set up keywords, and you will automatically receive notifications when new items are listed.
Buying
What items can I buy on PharmaSwap?
Prescription medications that are nearing their expiration date and have been properly stored in other pharmacies or by wholesalers. Medications that fall under the Opium Act are not allowed to be sold via PharmaSwap.

How do I pay for a purchase on PharmaSwap?
After the transaction, you will receive an invoice by email. Payment is processed through the platform.
Can I return a product after purchase?
No, due to the nature of medications, products cannot be returned after purchase.

Click 'add item' and fill in the details of the medication you want to offer.
How can I edit my items?
Go to 'my items' in the dashboard and click the pencil icon to edit your items.

Transactions and transport
Can I cancel a transaction?
First, contact the seller or buyer, then customer service. Keep in mind that the courier may already be en route, and these costs will be passed on.
How does a transaction work on PharmaSwap?
After agreement, the buyer clicks 'checkout'. The buyer receives an invoice, and the seller receives an overview for their records. After payment, the money is transferred to the seller.
Why is there a transaction fee?
PharmaSwap charges a fee of 10% of the sale value, with a minimum of €35. For Pro users, the fee is capped at €250 per transaction. This fee is used to ensure secure transactions and transport, enable fast payouts within 14 days, and offer bundled shipping costs.
How do I track my order after purchase?
After the transaction, you will receive a Track & Trace code from our logistics partner to track your shipment.
What happens if my order arrives damaged?
Contact the seller or customer service to discuss the issue.
How are storage conditions ensured during transport?
Our logistics partner ensures that medications are always transported under the correct conditions. Our carrier is GDP certified.
How quickly is an item delivered?
Pick-up occurs the next working day, and delivery is made the following working day. If you need faster delivery, this is possible. Contact customer service for a custom rate.
How does PharmaSwap arrange transportation?
After a transaction, transportation is automatically arranged with our partner Schotpoort.
What does PharmaSwap do for medication monitoring?
PharmaSwap facilitates the transfer of medication data between the selling and buying pharmacy.
What should I do if there is a problem with a transaction?
